We are looking for you to help strengthen and develop our team to meet the University's future purchasing and procurement needs. As a Procurement Officer, you will be an important part of our procurement team and together you will be responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating the University's procurement activities and ensuring that procurement procedures are carried out in accordance with laws and regulations. The role of Procurement Officer includes managing and running procurements from planning to contract, for both goods and services. You will work closely with the organization to provide our managers, staff, researchers and teachers with the best possible support and assistance in procurement matters. You will participate in the work of training and informing other activities about current agreements, laws, purchasing and procurement routines. The procurement function's tasks also include follow-up and analysis of purchasing behaviour, follow-up of existing agreements and development of the procurement function's internal tools in the form of templates, website and agreement databases. Qualifications Educational background You have an academic degree, or other education we consider equivalent, in a relevant field such as purchasing, law or economics. Experience You have several years of experience in public procurement and have conducted procurements in various procedures. It would be an advantage if you have worked as a procurement officer in a government agency and if you also have good knowledge of procurement law. Qualities You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Swedish and English. You are curious, driven, have high integrity and easy to create and maintain good relationships. The work requires you to have a thorough, systematic and structured approach. In addition, you have a solution-oriented approach, good analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and in teams. We will attach great importance to personal suitability.
