With us, you’ll become an important part of an international academic community where you’ll support cutting-edge research and education. You’ll enjoy secure employment conditions, generous benefits, and excellent opportunities for professional development, all while contributing to something greater.

The External Funding, Innovation, and Collaboration Unit, part of the university’s operational support division, is seeking a senior project manager for work at the intersection of academia and industry/the surrounding community. You will be part of a team that plans, implements, and develops strategic initiatives, projects, and activities that strengthen collaboration and innovation. The unit provides support to researchers, students, companies, and organizations, as well as to university leadership, on issues related to collaboration and innovation.

The work is project-based and dynamic, which means that projects and focus areas may change over time. However, the role has a stable core focused on project management, collaboration, development, and implementation.

We offer an exciting environment for professional growth where you can contribute to the university’s efforts to strengthen collaboration and innovation. Job Responsibilities:

The role involves independently leading and coordinating projects and development initiatives in the field of collaboration, often in complex environments where multiple stakeholders work together. The work includes planning, implementing, following up on, and reporting on projects, subprojects, and activities, often within externally funded initiatives.

A central part of the role is to develop and offer services that support collaboration and innovation. You will work to create and develop meeting places, plan and conduct seminars, workshops, and other collaboration activities, and build and maintain networks both within and outside the university.

Initially, a large part of the role will be linked to NorrlandsNavet. The work involves developing and implementing activities where students meet with companies and organizations, as well as contributing to the development of needs-driven approaches to professional development and collaboration. The role may also include participating in efforts to secure funding for new projects and initiatives.

Communication is an integral part of the project manager role. You will be responsible for ensuring that the projects’ activities, offerings, and results are communicated clearly and professionally to various target audiences, and you will work hands-on with, for example, the website, social media, newsletters, presentations, and events. You will help raise awareness of the projects’ results and ensure that communication supports the projects’ goals and collaboration objectives.

Qualifications

This position requires a university degree and documented experience in independently planning, managing, and following up on projects. You have experience in project management, budgeting, and follow-up, as well as in communicating and disseminating project activities and results. You also have a solid understanding of application and funding processes for publicly funded projects.

As the university is an international environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English are required.

We are looking for someone who thrives in complex collaborative environments and has a genuine interest in collaboration, innovation, and development. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and collaborate with researchers, people in leadership positions, and external stakeholders. You are communicative, able to inspire engagement, and can tailor your message to different audiences.

You work in a structured and quality-conscious manner, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive the work forward. You are flexible and confident in both leadership and support roles, and have experience planning and executing activities, seminars, events, and communication through digital channels.

Experience with projects where collaboration between the university and the surrounding community has been central, as well as experience with service development, service design, and/or process management, is a plus.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
