About the unit
The unit External Funding, Innovation and Collaboration is LTU's support for research funding, utilization, innovation promotion and collaboration with the surrounding society. We support researchers in identifying the right funding opportunities, developing competitive project applications, building partnerships and realizing research ideas.
We work closely with the university's management, departments and other support functions - as well as with public and private actors nationally and internationally.
About the role
As a research advisor, you assist researchers and research groups with advice and support both in the long-term strategic development of the university's research environments and in applications for research funding to international and national research funders. Furthermore, you are part of an advisor network and work closely with colleagues in law, finance, innovation, communication and management. The work involves both long-term relationship building and periods of intensive work in the face of deadlines.
The work as a research advisor includes:
- Continuous monitoring of research funders' news and calls
- Keeping track of the conditions for external funding, funders' requirements and LTU's internal processes
- Review and analyze calls, funders' priorities and research policy trends to identify opportunities and provide qualified advice
- Develop procedures to ensure compliance with research funders, university, national and international laws and regulations
- Develop and implement proactive and strategic initiatives to strengthen research, research teams and research environments
- Contribute to the university's quality assurance of research applications
- Analyze outcomes regarding external research funding and the like
- Participate in internal competence development
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- Academic degree in relevant field
- Experience of research activities or project development in academia, industry or the public sector
- Knowledge of the research funding system in Sweden and the EU
- Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
Merits are
- Doctoral degree
- Previous work in research consultancy or project management
- Experience of application and project work within Horizon Europe or similar programs
- specific knowledge of funding bodies such as the Swedish Research Council, Vinnova, Formas, the Swedish Energy Agency and the EU Framework Program
- Experience of collaborative projects and contract management

We are looking for a research advisor for permanent full-time employment based in Luleå. Access takes place according to agreement. Probationary period may be applied
