UNIVERSEH 2.0 aims to further develop and strengthen the alliance’s role as the leading European university alliance focused on space. The project offers a multilingual, interdisciplinary, innovative, and inclusive learning environment for students, researchers, and external stakeholders. A key objective is to bring together academia and various actors in the space sector to meet the evolving needs of the global labor market in the space sector. The project carries out a number of activities and events that promote collaboration between universities, industry, and society. These activities are essential for addressing emerging societal challenges, developing future-oriented skills, and contributing to sustainable growth in the space sector.
Job Description
You will be part of a dynamic and international team within UNIVERSEH 2.0 and work on activities related to Work Package 7 (WP7) – Service to Society. The work package focuses on collaboration between universities, the space industry, public sector actors, the surrounding community, and student space organizations.
Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and implementing activities and events. You will help establish contacts with companies and organizations in the space sector, support collaborations with student-run space organizations, and participate in various activities within Work Package 7.
Your responsibilities also include participating in project meetings, contributing to the monitoring and reporting of activities, and supporting the achievement of the project’s objectives and deliverables within the work package.
Skills and Experience
You must be enrolled in a master’s program in space-related subjects and have completed at least two semesters of study, including at least one semester at the Kiruna campus. You must demonstrate strong academic performance in the field of space. Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
For this position, it is important that you have strong communication and collaboration skills, are responsive, and have a solution- and results-oriented approach to work. You are able to handle stress, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize effectively even under time pressure.
Furthermore, you have the ability to see the big picture, formulate clear goals, and translate these into concrete and measurable activities. You work in a structured and methodical manner and have a strong ability to manage deadlines, resources, and risks.
Terms and Conditions
Employment as an amanuensis is governed by Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance. Only those admitted to undergraduate or graduate-level education may be employed as an amanuensis (Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5, Section 10).
Hourly Wage/Compensation
For all assignments, you will receive an hourly wage as well as valuable work experience for your resume. Hourly wage depending on the difficulty of the task:
Level 1: 156 SEK/hour (equivalent to approx. 25,700 SEK/month for full-time work).
Level 2: 171 SEK/hour (equivalent to approx. 28,200 SEK/month for full-time work).
Information
The position is 40% of full-time, i.e., an average of 2 days per week for 5 months, from August 17, 2026, to January 31, 2027, or as agreed. The place of employment is Kiruna.
The workload may vary over time and as agreed, but the goal is to distribute it in a way that is compatible with university studies.
