The research topic Process Metallurgy belongs to the Department of Civil Engineering and Natural Resources, where research and education in the mining, construction and environmental fields contribute to the development of a long-term sustainable society. We are looking for a research engineer for the research subject process metallurgy who can strengthen the staff during the summer. Job duties Tasks for the research engineer during the summer months involve laboratory work such as melting and granulation tests with subsequent evaluation of reactivity as a replacement material in cement as well as characterization work with, for example, XRD and SEM-EDS. Qualifications You who are applying for the position have a background in process metallurgy and experience with water granulation tests of molten slag and subsequent measurements of reactivity using standard methods for replacement materials in cement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence and suitability. Information The service covers 100% for 3 months starting June 1. Location is Luleå.
