Entrepreneurship and Innovation is looking for a motivated researcher to take a coordinating and leading role in our interdisciplinary team in business transformation, circular economy and digital innovation to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in northern Sweden.
The research group collaborates with large national and international companies, SMEs, policy makers and other research groups. Research results are developed in close collaboration with industry and other societal stakeholders.

Project description
The service includes coordination of activities within Norrlandsnavet, LTU's regional knowledge hub to support small and medium-sized enterprises in northern Sweden.
The research aims to understand how SMEs can use digital tools and strategies to reduce waste, use resources more efficiently and create sustainable business models. The focus is on how digital technology can support companies' decisions in product design, supply chains and sustainability work. The work is done in close collaboration with companies, public organizations and international partners.
The researcher's mission is to contribute to concrete results that promote long-term sustainability and competitiveness, in collaboration with academic and industrial actors.
Duties and responsibilities
You will work in a research team and conduct scientific work in collaboration with others. This includes data collection and analysis as well as writing scientific papers both independently and with others. Publications are expected at level 3-4 according to ABS ranking.
Your main responsibilities as Research Coordinator include:
Monitoring project progress, milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs), especially using Excel.
Coordination with project partners in academia, industry and public sector, both nationally and internationally.
Planning and organization of workshops, meetings and joint activities.
Maintaining communication and relations with regional stakeholders.
Supporting the research team with data collection, analysis and publication.
Contribute to funding applications and national/international research initiatives.
The position also includes teaching, supervision, seminar participation and presentations in national and international research arenas.
Qualifications
To be eligible for employment as a researcher, a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Innovation or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD is required.
- Proven scientific excellence in innovation and/or entrepreneurship.
- Research background in entrepreneurship, digital innovation, business model innovation, circular economy or business transfers.
- Experience in managing research centers.
- Proven administrative and project management skills.
- Experience in stakeholder relations with regional and industrial partners.
- Experience in research funding and external funding.
- Ability to present research results at academic events.
- Good language skills in English and Swedish
- Experience in teaching, supervision and course development at university level.
