Do you want to help shape the future of sustainable business in industry's green transition? We are looking for a researcher for an applied research track in circular economy linked to sustainability measurement, financing and procurement in the green transition. You will work in close collaboration with leading partners in business and the public sector to explore and enable new ways of creating value in a time of transition. Through your research, you will contribute to both academic frontline research and practical impact in industry and the public sector.You will be part of the research subject Entrepreneurship and Innovation, one of Sweden's leading research and teaching environments in the field. The research group collaborates with large national and international companies, SMEs, policy makers and other research groups. Research results are produced in close collaboration with industry and other stakeholders. The research subject has a strong track record of publications in top journals, such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Strategic Management Journal, Harvard Business Review and others.Topic descriptionEntrepreneurship and innovation encompasses organizational development with a particular focus on business development based on innovative products, services, production solutions or ways of managing and organizing operations.Project description The project includes identifying transition needs, mapping criteria and indicators, developing improved methods and supporting their implementation to make circularity measurable, manageable and financeable. The empirical project work is based on co-creation with business partners, policy makers, procurers and sustainability strategists in both the public and private sectors - actors with a direct opportunity to influence organizational change and drive sustainability transformation, especially in the recycling industry and public procurement. Examples of solutions developed in the project are new criteria for circularity in procurement, improved indicators for resource efficiency, and models for traceability and valuation of circular flows.TasksAs a researcher, you have the following main tasks:- Initiate, design and conduct data collection and analysis in collaboration with other senior researchers and partner companies, based on both qualitative and quantitative methods.- Co-author scientific articles together with other researchers.- Contribute to research applications and projects.- Contribute to the development of new methods and tools for the evaluation of circular flows. Contribute to research applications and project development.- Plan and implement popular science dissemination activities (e.g. webinars, popular science articles, workshops and presentations).- Develop and teach undergraduate courses in business administration and industrial economics.QualificationsTo be eligible for employment as a researcher, a PhD or equivalent foreign degree in entrepreneurship and innovation, or in a related subject in Industrial Economics/Business Administration is required. You should have a proven track record of research in the field of accounting and finance or procurement. You should have good knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methods. Furthermore, good collaboration skills are required, as you will work together with both other researchers and social actors. You also need to have the ability to independently conduct your research. The position requires very good ability to communicate in speech and writing in English and good knowledge of Swedish. Experience in analyzing complex organizational and institutional contexts, especially in regulated sectors, as well as experience in working in multidisciplinary teams is meritorious.InformationThe position is full-time and limited to one year.
