We are looking for a senior lecturer who wants to be part of Luleå University of Technology's vision to shape the future through innovative education and groundbreaking research and who has the skills and drive to integrate education and research in the field of clinical psychology.
At the Department of Health, Medicine and Rehabilitation, courses are conducted for psychology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy degrees, bachelor's programs in health guidance and psychology, as well as courses in medical science. Research and doctoral education are conducted in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy and psychology.
The position of senior lecturer in clinical psychology is placed on the research subject of psychology. Today, we have 25 employees, including five PhD students, working in subject areas such as clinical psychology, sports psychology, witness psychology, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience and technical psychology.
Our teaching is conducted within our five-year psychology education, our bachelor's program in psychology and in the course evidence-based psychotherapy.
Subject description
The subject of psychology is about systematically exploring the individual's experiences, behavior and biology and their interrelationships and underlying mechanisms. Psychology as a discipline has been producing applicable knowledge for the benefit of the individual for over 100 years with the intention of describing and understanding human emotions, thoughts and behaviors in all situations and environments
Duties
The area of work is primarily clinical psychology for the current position, but work in other areas of psychology will also be an important part of the position. In the teaching role, you will be expected to develop and maintain pedagogical quality, teaching and supervising students at all levels. The duties will also involve conducting research with a focus on clinical psychology. The research assignment includes networking and collaborating with Region Norrbotten, municipalities and private actors, but also being active in the research community and seeking external research funding. The position may include work that includes management and administrative assignments, but also contributing to the university's development work and following the subject's international development in the field of clinical psychology. We are open to the position being combined with clinical service or other external activities, by agreement and in accordance with current regulations.
Eligibility
Eligible for employment as a senior lecturer is the person who:
- Has a doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence in the subject area of clinical psychology
- Holds a Swedish psychologist's license
- Has demonstrated pedagogical skills
- Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge
