We are looking for a senior lecturer who wants to be part of Luleå University of Technology's vision to shape the future through innovative education and groundbreaking research and who has the competence and drive to integrate education and research in the field of developmental psychology. At the Division of Health, Medicine and Rehabilitation, courses for occupational therapy and physiotherapy degrees, bachelor's programs in health guidance and psychology, and courses in medical science are conducted. Research and postgraduate education are conducted in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy and health promotion and psychology. The position of Senior Lecturer in Developmental Psychology is placed at the research subject Psychology. Today, we have 25 employees, including five PhD students, working in subject areas such as clinical psychology, sports psychology, witness psychology, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience and technical psychology. Our teaching is conducted within our five-year psychology education, our bachelor's program in psychology and in the course evidence-based psychotherapy. Subject description Psychology is the systematic study of the experiences, behavior, and biology of individuals and their interrelationships and underlying mechanisms. The research aims to describe and understand human emotions, thoughts and behaviors in different situations and environments. Work tasks The work area is primarily developmental psychology for the current position, but work in other areas of psychology will also be an important part of the position. Within the teaching assignment, you are expected to develop and maintain pedagogical quality, teach and supervise students at all levels. The tasks also involve conducting research with a focus on developmental psychology. The research assignment includes networking and collaborating with Region Norrbotten, municipalities and private actors, but also being active in the research community and seeking external research funding. The position also includes work that includes management and administrative assignments, but also contributing to the university's development work and following the subject's international development in the field of developmental psychology. Eligibility Qualified to be employed as a senior lecturer are those who: - A doctoral degree or equivalent academic competence - Demonstrated pedagogical skills through reflective experience, teaching skills and teaching development. - Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge Assessment criteria The following assessment criteria apply to the position: - Scientific excellence - Teaching skills - Other assessment criteria Other assessment criteria (weighted in descending order) - Psychology license and clinical experience is an advantage - Experience of having previously taught in psychology programs is an advantage - Ability to teach in Swedish and English - Ability to interact with the surrounding community To succeed and thrive in the role of senior lecturer, you need to have good collaboration and planning skills, as well as how the applicant, through his or her experience and competence, is expected to complement and strengthen ongoing research, basic education and innovation in the subject and contribute to its future development.
