The Department of Health, Education and Technology provides education at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. The department provides education for nurses, X-ray nurses, several programs for specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and bachelor's degrees in health guidance and psychology. The department conducts research and postgraduate education in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing and psychology. We are now looking for a deputy senior lecturer in nursing. Subject description Nursing focuses on areas that aim to improve human health, prevent illness and disease, and restore and maintain health, alleviate suffering and safeguard human integrity and dignity. Key areas are human and health, environment and nursing action and processes related to these areas. Duties and responsibilities As a Senior Lecturer in Nursing, you will teach, supervise and examine nursing, radiology and specialist nursing students in nursing and medical science. You will be a course coordinator and examiner at undergraduate and graduate level. You will meet students both on campus and via online platforms. As a Senior Lecturer in Nursing, you are responsible for the development of the subject of nursing at both undergraduate, advanced and postgraduate level, together with subject representatives, professors, assistant professors and other senior lecturers. The temporary position also includes being responsible for and actively participating in collaboration with the surrounding society and disseminating research results to others. Eligibility Qualified to be employed as a senior lecturer are those who: - A doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence or other professional competence relevant to the position - Demonstrated pedagogical competence through reflective experience, teaching skills and teaching development. - Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge Assessment criteria The following assessment criteria apply to the position: - Scientific excellence - Teaching skills - Other assessment criteria Other assessment criteria (weighted equally): - Registered nurse and specialist nurse - Clinical professional experience as a nurse and specialist nurse - Experience in supervising and examining degree projects at undergraduate and graduate level and experience in teaching nursing and medical science - Ability to teach in a Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) and/or English Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and the ability to work independently are important characteristics for the appointment. The ability to interact with the surrounding society and to inform about research as well as to develop national and international contacts and networks is important for holding the position. Information about the position The position is a temporary full-time position during the period 2025-01-15 to 2025-12-31 or as agreed and with the possibility of extension. Location is Luleå.
