We are looking for two committed senior lecturers in occupational therapy who want to be involved in educating the occupational therapists of the future, running research projects and contributing to the development of the subject in close collaboration with society. Subject description Occupational therapy encompasses knowledge of people's daily activities in relation to development, participation and health. The subject studies how factors related to the individual in interaction with factors in the environment affect individuals', groups' and populations' opportunities to be engaged in daily activities and their importance for health and ill health. It also includes knowledge of how activities can be used therapeutically to promote health and development and prevent ill health. Duties and responsibilities The position as Senior Lecturer includes, together with other PhDs in the subject of occupational therapy, responsibility for the development of the subject of occupational therapy at undergraduate, advanced and doctoral level. The position as Senior Lecturer in occupational therapy also includes course responsibility, teaching, seminar activities, supervision and examinations at undergraduate and advanced level in the subject and related subjects. In addition, supervision of doctoral students, participation in research applications, building research networks and conducting own research. The position also includes active participation in collaboration with the surrounding society. Eligibility Qualified to be employed as a senior lecturer in occupational therapy are those who: - holds a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence - Have completed an occupational therapy degree and are a licensed occupational therapist - Demonstrated pedagogical skills - Completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge Assessment criteria The following assessment criteria apply to the position: - Scientific excellence - Teaching skills - Other assessment criteria Other assessment criteria (weighted equally): - degree of competence required for eligibility - administrative skills that are relevant to the subject matter and the duties of the post - ability to interact with the surrounding community - ability to obtain external research and development funding - ability to provide information on research and development work - ability to teach in Swedish and/or English - ability to conduct distance teaching and develop distance pedagogy - knowledge of motivational interviewing Personal qualities or personal suitability relevant to the position, such as good collaboration skills, a structured and responsible approach and an interest in educational development, are important to successfully contribute to teaching, research and collaboration in occupational therapy.
