Project description
We are now looking for a Senior Research Engineer in Political Science who primarily wants to contribute to our research on green transition, societal transformation and social acceptance, with a focus on northern Sweden. As a senior research engineer, you may also contribute to our undergraduate program in political science.
Duties and responsibilities
As a senior research engineer, you will mainly participate in the research project "Climate Neutral Luleå 2030", funded by the Swedish Energy Agency. You will be involved in the planning and implementation of the research together with other members of the project team and collaboration partners. The implementation of the project requires an ability to work both independently and with others. As the research investigates a Swedish context, good knowledge of the Swedish language is essential. If necessary, you will also work within the framework of other research projects, with administrative tasks, or within our undergraduate program. You are also expected to participate in the collegial work of the subject and the department.
Qualifications
You should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Political Science or related discipline. You should be used to working independently and sometimes under time pressure. You should also be able to write and speak Swedish fluently. Good knowledge of English is an advantage. Meritorious for the position is also:
- Good knowledge of social acceptance and its drivers
- Good knowledge of quantitative methods
- Previous experience working with issues related to community development, sustainability, renewable energy and green transition
- Previous experience in project coordination

The position is full-time and will last until March 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The position will be filled as soon as possible or by agreement. Location: Luleå.
