Become our next admissions officer at LTU!
Are you a person who has the ability to navigate and keep track of several workflows at the same time and who thrives on working against tight deadlines without losing the whole? Then the job as an admissions officer in the study administration at LTU is just the right challenge for you.
Now one of our faithful servants is retiring and we are therefore looking for a worthy replacement for her. We hope it can be you! Admissions is part of the study administration unit that belongs to the Division of Student, Researcher and Educational Support (one of seven departments within the business support). In addition to Admissions, the Study Administration Unit consists of the functions Ladok, Degrees and Credit Transfer. The unit consists of 13 people in total.
About the role
The work of an Admissions Officer is varied and complex, with many different tasks throughout the year. You will work independently and in teams with colleagues. The work involves reviewing applications from both Swedish and international applicants and assessing their eligibility for admission to both courses and programs at pre-degree, undergraduate and graduate levels. You make decisions on individual assessment issues, you handle appeals and deferrals and you follow the development of the admissions work. You mainly work in the systems NyA, Ladok and in our information management system Dynasty. The work includes contacts with both national and international students and collaboration with both internal and external actors.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who
- have very good experience of working administratively in digital systems
- have good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English
- have a good ability to understand complex information, translate it into action and understand the big picture of how things are connected and affect each other
- have a good ability to work to tight deadlines, without sacrificing integrity or detail
- is analytical and used to staying ahead of the game, and can make well-balanced decisions
- have good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- have a good ability to work both in a team and independently.
Merits:
- academic degree in relevant field
- experience of previous admissions work at a university or college or similar administrative tasks
- willingness to develop and curiosity about what, for example, AI can bring to the work.

Scope and location
