The Department of Health, Learning and Technology conducts education at basic, advanced and postgraduate level. Within the field of health sciences, the department conducts research and postgraduate training in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, medical technology and psychology. Furthermore, training is given to nurses, radiology nurses, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and bachelor's degrees in health guidance and psychology. We are now looking for a university lecturer specializing in radiography who can teach on the radiology nursing program. Subject description Nursing focuses on areas that aim to improve human health, prevent ill-health and disease as well as restore and preserve health, relieve suffering and safeguard human integrity and dignity. Central areas are people and health, environment and nursing action as well as processes related to these areas. Nursing with a specialization in radiography has the aforementioned focus as well as interdisciplinary teams and patient safety. Radiography is an interdisciplinary field of knowledge that derives knowledge mainly from nursing, imaging and functional medicine, radiation physics and medicine. Nursing with a focus on radiography involves all four areas and the relationship between them. Job duties The position as university lecturer specializing in radiography involves course responsibility, teaching, supervision and examination of X-ray nursing students at first level. Teaching on other programs may occur. You will teach nursing and medical science with a focus on radiography. Business integrated learning (VIL) which is covered by VFU, simulation, laboratories and seminars are an important part of the teaching. You meet the students here at the university and via online platforms. Competence Eligible to be employed as a university lecturer specializing in radiography is someone who: • Completed doctoral degree • Demonstrated pedagogical skill • Completion of higher education education equivalent to 7.5 ECTS credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge Basis of assessment The following assessment criteria are applied for the position: • Scientific skill • Pedagogical skill • Other assessment grounds Other assessment grounds (weighted equally): - licensed X-ray nurse - have clinical experience as an X-ray nurse - experience in teaching - have good cooperation skills, social skills and the ability to work independently - be able to teach in a Nordic language (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) and/or English Information The position is located at the Department of Health, Learning and Technology and is subject-wise linked to the X-ray nurse training program. The job title will be acting university lecturer specializing in radiography. The scope of employment is 60% and time-limited to 1 year with the possibility of extension. Access by agreement.
