The Department of Health, Learning, and Technology offers education at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The department offers programs for registered nurses, radiologic technologists, clinical nurse specialists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and psychologists, as well as bachelor’s degrees in health counseling and psychology. The department conducts research and doctoral education in the fields of occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, and psychology.

 

The Department of Nursing and Radiography is now seeking a university lecturer specializing in nursing who can teach in the nursing program, the radiology nursing program, and the specialist nursing programs.

 

Subject Description

Nursing focuses on areas aimed at improving people’s health, preventing illness and disease, restoring and maintaining health, alleviating suffering, and safeguarding human integrity and dignity. Key areas include the individual and health, the environment, and nursing interventions and processes related to these areas.

 

Job Responsibilities

The position as a university lecturer in the Department of Nursing and Radiography involves course coordination, teaching, supervising, evaluating students during clinical placements, and examining students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching may include, for example, lectures, laboratory sessions, simulations, and seminars. You will meet students on campus and via online platforms.

 

Qualifications

To be eligible for employment as a university lecturer, you must:

  • be a licensed nurse
  • have experience in clinical work within healthcare.
  • have strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • demonstrate pedagogical skills

Other meritorious qualifications:

  • experience from various healthcare contexts and specialist areas within nursing
  • experience in teaching, development, or quality assurance work within healthcare
  • possess good collaboration skills as well as the ability to work independently

The position is full-time (100%) and fixed-term for 1 year with the possibility of extension. Location: Luleå
