The position of Lecturer in Health Guidance is located at the Department of Health, Education and Technology, Division of Health, Medicine and Rehabilitation. The department offers courses for occupational therapy and physiotherapy degrees, bachelor's programs in health guidance and psychology, and courses in medical science. Research and postgraduate education are conducted in the subjects of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Health Promotion, and Psychology. Subject description Physiotherapy and Health Promotion focuses on human movement and its impact on health and quality of life. The subject aims to identify and strengthen factors that contribute to an active and healthy life. It includes health promotion and prevention at the individual, group and community levels, as well as treating conditions that limit function, activity and participation. The Health Facilitator Program The Health Educator Program is a three-year academic program in health promotion that prepares students to work in health promotion and disease prevention. The programme provides skills in lifestyle, behavior change and public health, with a focus on using motivational interviewing, health testing and follow-up of individual health plans. Students learn to work at the individual, group, organizational and community levels through counselling, education, process management and strategic health work, in collaboration with other professions. Job description Employment as a lecturer specializing in health guidance involves being responsible for the development of the subject together with the college. The position includes course responsibility, teaching, seminar activities, supervision and examinations. The position includes actively working with program development and collaborating with the surrounding community. Qualifications Qualified to be employed as a lecturer are those who: - have a Bachelor's degree in Health Guidance or equivalent Other meritorious qualifications: - Skills and documented experience in the planning, implementation and development of teaching, supervision and examination in health guidance. - proven pedagogical skills and completed a higher education pedagogical education equivalent to 7.5 credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge. - Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and Swedish. - Ability to cooperate and social skills. - Master's degree in health sciences/public health or equivalent. In addition, other factual grounds shall be taken into account, such as the university's gender equality goals. Information to be provided The position is a fixed-term, full-time position for six months with the possibility of extension. The position is located at the Department of Health, Education and Technology at the university's location in Luleå. The work requires physical presence at the workplace as collaboration with colleagues and the needs of the business are central parts of the assignment.
