
We are now looking for a committed lecturer in occupational therapy who wants to be involved in educating the occupational therapists of the future and contribute to the development of the subject in close collaboration with society.
The position of lecturer in occupational therapy is located at the Department of Health, Education and Technology and will belong to the Division of Health, Medicine and Rehabilitation. Here, courses for occupational therapy and physiotherapy degrees, bachelor's programs in health counseling and psychology, and courses in medical science are conducted. Research and postgraduate education are conducted in the subjects of occupational therapy, physiotherapy and health promotion, as well as psychology.
Subject description
Occupational therapy encompasses knowledge about people's daily activities in relation to development, participation and health. The subject studies how factors related to the individual in interaction with factors in the environment affect individuals', groups' and populations' opportunities to be engaged in daily activities and their importance for health and ill health. The subject also includes knowledge of how activities can be used therapeutically to promote health and development and prevent ill health.
Duties
The main duties are to conduct lectures, seminars, practical sessions, VFU assessments and examinations, as well as plan, implement, follow up and develop courses. This may involve writing study guides in the learning platform, planning the course schedule, booking internal and external lecturers, keeping in touch with students via e-mail and learning platform. In addition, together with other teachers (lecturers and assistant professors) in occupational therapy, participate in the development of the subject and education. The work also includes actively participating in collaboration with the surrounding community.

The position is fixed-term full-time for the period August 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 or as agreed and with the possibility of extension. Location is Luleå. The work requires physical presence at the workplace as interaction with colleagues and the needs of the business are central to the mission.
