The Department of Computer Science at the Department of Systems and Space Technology at Luleå University of Technology is looking for a university lecturer in Distributed computer systems for teaching and projects in the main area of ​​media technology and the Bachelor's degree in Computer Game Development and Programming. You will work within a driven team that conducts training in computer game development and visual effects for film. Subject description The subject of media technology includes technology and methods that support human communication across distances in time and space. The subject area covers a wide range of related, often multidisciplinary, subfields where computer science, computer graphics, interaction and design are central elements. The subject is production oriented. Job duties The tasks will mainly consist of teaching in Computer game development and programming. You will develop and participate in teaching. The duties also include participation in research and development work. The applicant is also expected to actively participate in institutional work, in program and course development, as well as follow developments and research developments within the subject. The position also includes being responsible for and actively participating in collaboration with the surrounding community. The possibility of further competence development and postgraduate training exists, through the competence development of university assistant professors. Qualifications Eligible to be employed as a university lecturer is someone who: • Completed university degree of at least 180 university credits in computer game programming or equivalent • Demonstrated teaching skills • Completed higher education education equivalent to 7.5 ECTS credits or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge (exceptions as described below) If the requirement for completed higher education education is not met upon application or employment, it is the employer's responsibility to ensure that the requirement is met within 2 years. Other assessment grounds: • Has practical experience in programming and/or game development as a game programmer • Has experience and qualifications for teaching at least upper secondary level • Has an education in the main field of computer technology, preferably at civil engineering level Information The position is a limited-time employment of a maximum of 1 year on a full-time basis with location in Skellefteå.
