Are you looking for a new challenge as an economist? With us at the Department of Civil Engineering and Natural Resources, in addition to traditional financial work with budgeting, follow-up and financial statements, you also get to work with applications and reports on exciting research projects. You get varied and developing work with many contacts in your everyday life. As an economist, you assist researchers and project managers with calculations in connection with research applications and reporting and closing of research projects. Funding of research at universities and colleges is highly competitive and with many different requirements from the financiers. You present the research subject/the project's finances in various contexts, assist with decision-making materials, communicate with financiers and other stakeholders. You will be part of our administrative team at the institution. We are 25 people who work as economists, institution and education administrators. We are a service function that works closely with the business, we support both employees and students. For us, it is important to have a sense of service and a pleasant treatment. We mostly communicate in Swedish but also some in English. You will also be part of the university's network with other economists to jointly develop and maintain common routines and working methods. Qualifications For the position, an economics degree at university level is required, preferably with a focus on accounting. You must have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English. If you have worked in accounting for a few years and/or have experience in project accounting, it is an advantage. Good knowledge of Excel is an advantage. We attach great importance to your personal qualities, which are characterized by good cooperation skills, a structured way of working and a great sense of service. You have good analytical skills, can work independently and you are comfortable presenting financial data in an easy-to-understand manner. Scope and location We are looking for an economist for a temporary position of 1 year, full-time, located in Luleå. You have the opportunity to work remotely up to 40%. Access by appointment.
