The social administration is divided into the operational areas of individual and family care, health care, social psychiatric support and assistance, support and service, and care and care. Individual and family care's operations offer support, advice and efforts to citizens based on needs and the mission of social services. Within LSS/social psychiatry, we work in accordance with the National Board of Health and Welfare's model Individual Needs I Center (IBIC) with the responsibility to investigate, assess and decide on cases concerning interventions according to the Act on support and services for certain disabled persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). As unit manager for LSS/social psychiatry, you have 14 subordinate employees who include LSS case managers, social secretaries, and contact coordinators. The unit also includes a specialist sociologist. Our office is centrally located in Luleå with newly renovated and fresh premises. You work during the day with the possibility of flextime. WORK DUTIES As a unit manager, you have an important role in contributing to a close dialogue with people seeking support and help and their relatives. Cooperation both internally and externally is the key to success and a large part of the work. The task is to independently lead, manage and develop the business so that the requirements in current agreements, laws and policies are followed. You are responsible for operations, employees, finances, work environment, union collaboration, follow-up and evaluation of your operations as well as communicating our value base within the unit. We see commitment and innovative thinking as crucial to achieving goal fulfillment with quality and economy in balance and where the user is always in focus. You see, utilize and develop the employees' competence and commitment and get them involved and engaged in the business. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a great commitment to leading and developing the field of LSS/social psychiatry. You need to be flexible and responsive and have the ability to create a good collaborative climate. In order to succeed in the assignment, you need to like driving change and development work and be interested in monitoring the environment in the area. We are looking for you as: • has a degree in sociology or another academic degree that we deem equivalent • has experience of working as a manager • has experience of exercising authority in the area in question • has extensive experience in collaboration with other actors • have good oral and written communication skills As a person, you must be structured, confident, creative and development-oriented.
