That is why we are now seeking an HSE Advisor specializing in explosives safety for our HSE department in Raufoss. As an HSE Advisor specializing in explosive safety, you will become one of Nammo’s leading experts in explosive protection and site safety. You will help ensure that we handle energetic materials in a safe and responsible manner, while also assisting the organization in understanding and complying with complex requirements from authorities and customers. You will work closely with production, development teams, managers, regulatory agencies, and external experts to ensure that Nammo remains a leader in the safe handling of energetic materials.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical advisor on explosive safety and protection

• Contribute to the safe handling of energetic materials throughout the organization

• Provide technical support for risk assessments, change management processes, and safety analyses

• Interpret and ensure compliance with requirements from relevant regulations, standards, and customer requirements. These include our most important regulations: the Explosive Protection Regulations and DoD Manual 4145.26

• Participate in the development and improvement of procedures, instructions, and management systems

• Plan and conduct training in explosives safety

• Contribute to internal audits and our continuous improvement efforts

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is interested in—and preferably has some experience with—handling energetic materials. You must be a curious and analytical person who is motivated by understanding how things work and who thrives on translating technical knowledge into practical solutions. You enjoy collaborating with others, are able to build trust, and can express yourself clearly both in writing and verbally

We would prefer that you have:

• Relevant education at the BSc level in relevant fields such as engineering or physics. Solid, relevant practical experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.

• Experience with explosive or energetic materials, the process industry, the chemical industry, or similar operations

• Strong technical understanding and the ability to perform technical assessments and calculations

• Interest in risk management, safety work, and understanding of regulations

• Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable way

• Strong Norwegian and English skills, both verbal and written
