Nammo is an international industrial company that develops and supplies world-class, high-tech defense and aerospace products. With growing demand for our products and services, we are now expanding our team at Nammo Raufoss and seeking experienced systems engineers. In our development projects, we work with advanced propulsion systems. We are now looking for someone who wants to play a key role in the development of these systems.

As a systems engineer, you will have overall technical responsibility for projects and help ensure that our products meet customer requirements and needs. The role involves close collaboration with national and international partners, suppliers, and customers. You will work at the intersection of multiple disciplines and contribute to the development and integration of complex systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Serving as the technical lead for one or more development projects and/or production programs

• Leading and coordinating technical work across disciplines

• Ensure that solutions meet system and performance requirements

• Communicate with customers and partners

• Prepare and quality-assure technical documentation

• Structured work with requirements, requirements decomposition, and verification

• Evaluate, justify, and approve technical choices and changes

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education (MSc or PhD) in engineering (e.g., aerospace, mechanical engineering, physics, materials science, energy/process engineering, cybernetics, or equivalent)

• At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field and in the development of complex technical systems

• Experience with systems engineering, including: requirements management, system architecture/decomposition, verification, and validation

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary manner and see the big picture in complex systems

• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English

• Must be eligible for security clearance

Desired qualifications

• Experience with rocket engines or other high-energy systems

• Experience in the defense, aerospace, or other high-tech industries

• Knowledge of ramjet engines

• Expertise in one or more of the following fields: combustion and thermodynamics, fluid dynamics/aerodynamics, high-temperature materials

• Experience with modeling and simulation

• Experience with the product development cycle from project inception to the finished product

• Experience with technical leadership or subject matter expertise
