Nammo Raufoss is a key player in the European defense industry. With growing demand for our products and services, we are now expanding the team at Nammo Raufoss and seeking dedicated development engineers in the field of analysis with a specific interest in simulation. The position will be part of R&D Ammunition Technology and will focus on medium- and large-caliber ammunition for military applications.

As an analysis engineer with us, you will closely follow the products from the concept phase through to a qualified product. You will influence design decisions and be involved in testing. New products are developed using high-level analysis, advanced materials technology, complex and innovative design solutions, and modern production methods.

Structural and Thermal Analysis:

We develop the ammunition of the future for artillery, infantry, tanks, and fighter jets, among others. Our products are subjected to significant thermal and structural stresses that affect materials, design, and function. In our work, we use software such as Abaqus, Impetus, and Comsol.

We are looking for someone with a background in mechanics, strength of materials, product development, structural analysis, thermal analysis, materials science, or a related field, who wants to contribute to a strong and forward-looking technical environment. Experience with coding in Python or MATLAB is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be part of a development team where you will be responsible for your area of expertise. You will support our projects with customers and/or research institutes by defining and performing relevant analyses, and communicating the results back to the project team and the customer. Development projects at Nammo are often research-oriented, and we develop cutting-edge technology.

As an analysis development engineer with us, you will work as part of a team, gaining valuable insight into other technical disciplines and developing a comprehensive understanding of our leading-edge technology and product development processes.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant education, an MSc or PhD in relevant fields.

• Candidates with a BSc and relevant technical experience may also be considered.
