We have several hundred talented engineers working on the development of new products. An important part of our development work involves conducting analyses of, among other things, advanced materials technology, complex and innovative design solutions, and modern production methods.
We are now seeking two Development Engineers for our Electronics Engineering department within R&D Aerospace Propulsion. Here, you’ll have a unique opportunity to work with advanced technology in the defense industry—with a particular focus on electronics development for rocket engines and associated control systems. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute from idea and concept development all the way to fully tested and qualified solutions in demanding environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Among other things, you will work on:
Design and development of safety-critical ignition systems for rocket engines
Design and integration of sensor, telemetry, and control systems for data collection and logging in connection with launch testing of our propulsion systems
Circuit design and PCB layout with high requirements for reliability and robustness
Participating in the preparation and execution of external test campaigns
EMC and ESD testing
Prototyping, troubleshooting, and improving existing and new systems
Preparing technical documentation and contributing to certification and qualification
Interdisciplinary collaboration with mechanical, systems, analysis, and design engineers in a dedicated development team
Qualifications:
We are looking for someone with:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics, cybernetics, mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience with circuit design and PCB layout is desirable (Altium, KiCad, or equivalent), preferably in one or more of the following areas: power supply design, mixed-signal circuits, analog sensors and instrumentation, EMC/ESD testing, and FPGA
Experience with embedded programming for microcontrollers in C/C++.
Knowledge of data processing, signal analysis, and automation using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools
Experience with electronics for demanding or regulated environments is a plus (e.g., aerospace, defense, aviation, oil & gas)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
