
The mechanical department at Nammo Raufoss is expanding its activities and now wants to recruit new employees, one operator and one process engineer, with a background in painting and surface treatment. As an operator, you will work with operation, changeover, control and troubleshooting on the production line. In the position of process engineer, you will mainly have process responsibility and, among other things, work with commissioning, improvement work, streamlining and training. Both positions will be linked to the new mechanical factory, where a greater degree of automation and modern production lines are planned.
If you have relevant experience from surface treatment (phosphate/lacquer) in an automated line and relevant knowledge of chemistry/SDS/HSE, you have good prerequisites for success in the roles. It will also be relevant to have a good understanding of chemicals, as well as experience from quality work and documentation. These are two exciting positions that will play a key role in the start-up of the new factory. You will not only have the opportunity to develop professionally and technically, but also be involved in a number of exciting projects.
Operator
As an operator, you will work with the painting of various components. At the same time, maintenance of painting facilities and keeping track of inventories in the paint warehouse will be an important part of the position. Systematic improvement work with Lean tools as an aid will also be an important part of everyday life. You will also handle quality deviations and participate in process development in the department's surface activities.
Relevant formal background for an operator may be a vocational certificate as an industrial surface treater, production technician or equivalent relevant subject area.
Process engineer
As a process engineer, you will work with continuous improvement of current processes, as well as industrialize production for new and existing products. At the same time, you will be a driving force for continuous improvement work through Lean principles, which will help Nammo maintain its position as a world-leading supplier of defense products.
Relevant formal background for a process engineer can be an engineering degree in chemistry/process/materials/production or technical vocational school. We may be open to considering candidates from other adjacent professional certificates / disciplines.
