Nammo is an international industrial company that develops and delivers world-class high-tech defense and aerospace products. With increasing demand for our products and services, we are now strengthening the team at Nammo Raufoss and are looking for committed development engineers in chemistry and materials technology with specific interest in surface treatment. The position will be organized under R&D Ammunition Technology and will be focused on ammunition for military applications.

As a development engineer, you will participate in internal development projects analyzing and testing materials and products, and have the opportunity to collaborate with national and international companies and institutions, as well as suppliers and customers. With us, you will contribute to the development of advanced solutions that form the basis of future defense technology.

Main tasks:

• Work with chemistry-materials related activities within surface chemistry, materials technology and/or energetic materials.

• Assist in the development of new products within ammunition.

• Support process and production departments.

• Assist purchasing in the procurement of chemicals and materials.

• We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant education (BSc, MSc, Ph.D) in chemistry, materials technology or other relevant disciplines

  • Preferably experience in development or production

  • Previous experience in surface/varnish/paint or energetic materials an advantage, but not a condition

  • General technical understanding and interest in interdisciplinary issues

  • Good written and oral skills in Norwegian and English
