We are therefore looking for a System Administrator Business Intelligence (BI) who wants to work with automation, data availability and operation of stable and scalable data platforms.
As our System Administrator BI, you will be responsible for monitoring, operating and optimizing databases, ETL processes, data models and our Power BI platform. You will play a key role in building and improving data pipelines, automating tasks, establishing data quality controls and ensuring the right data is available to the business. The role also involves ensuring that reports and data models are well documented and quality assured.
Facilitate and structure data for analysis, reporting and insights across the company's business processes.
Support ETL processes and ensure efficient data capture and value addition from source systems to the BI platform.
Collaborate closely with BI developers and business areas to ensure good, data-driven processes and decision-making.
Responsible for the operation, development and maintenance of databases and data models, including updated and clear documentation.
Design and implement modern and sustainable information architecture that meets the business needs for reporting and analysis.
Conduct capacity and performance planning through monitoring resource usage, identifying bottlenecks and assessing future capacity needs.
Contribute in upgrades, further development and maintenance of the data warehouse.
Strengthen the work on data quality and data governance through the development of robust data models in line with Data Governance principles.
Technical skills:
Solid experience with SQL, relational databases, database administration and modern database technologies.
Good knowledge of Microsoft cloud platforms, including Azure, Fabric, Purview and Power BI.
Experience with ETL tools and data integration, such as Visual Studio or equivalent.
Programming skills, preferably in Python or C.
Ability to understand business needs and translate these into effective and scalable technical solutions.
Strong analytical capacity and ability to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities in data environments.
Good understanding of data quality, data management and data modeling.
Collaboration and communication:
Ability to collaborate closely and effectively with developers, analysts and different business units.
Ability to learn new applications and acquire new professional knowledge.
Good documentation skills, with a focus on structure, clarity and traceability.
Ability to communicate technical issues in an understandable way to non-technical audiences.
We are looking for candidates with a degree in computer science, data science or related disciplines. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education, and we encourage applicants with a college or vocational school background as well as practical experience to apply.
