Nammo is one of the world's leading manufacturers of special ammunition and rocket motors. The plastic and training ammunition department is a subdivision of Nammo Raufoss, and is located in Aurskog municipality in Akershus. The department has 40 employees and produces injection molded ammunition-related plastic components and practice ammunition.

As a development engineer with us, you follow the products closely from concept phase to qualified product. You will also help to influence design choices and carry out testing. In this regard, we are looking for a development engineer who can contribute to the further development of our products and production processes, as well as industrialize production processes for new products. You will also be a driving force for continuous improvement work through Lean principles, which will help Nammo maintain its position as a world-leading supplier of defense products.

We are looking for you with a background and experience in mechanics, solid mechanics, product development, materials science, production engineering or similar.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Mechanical design of products and production equipment

  • Be a resource and discussion partner for continuous improvement and technical problem solving

  • Provide technical support to the production departments

  • Prepare technical drawings and technical documentation

  • Involve as a project collaborator and project manager in improvement and development projects and development projects

Qualifications

  • Engineering education at master/bachelor level

  • Experience from mechanical construction is desirable, but graduates will also be considered

  • Understanding and interest in technology and manufacturing

  • Good oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English
