The legal department at Nammo Raufoss AS currently has one lawyer and will be strengthened with an additional lawyer/assistant lawyer.

Knowledge of the company's business, strategy and regulatory landscape are crucial factors in providing good and constructive advice on a wide range of legal issues. The position gives you a unique opportunity to acquire this knowledge and help Nammo Raufoss succeed in its social mission.

We are looking for you who have a high degree of independence, role understanding and can structure and prioritize your own work. To succeed, you must also be flexible and contribute to internal information flow within the department.

The department is under development and currently the position reports to the CEO of Nammo Raufoss AS.

Responsibilities and tasks

The tasks in the legal department vary based on the company's needs. Typical tasks can be:

  • Provide legal assistance to Nammo Raufoss' departments and business units, as well as to Nammo AS (Group)

  • Identify risks in contracts and propose measures

  • Assist in planning and conducting negotiations, especially contract negotiations with customers and suppliers

  • Competition outsourcing of legal services and follow-up of external lawyers

  • Provide training

  • Assist in the preparation/updating of processes/corporate governance

  • Assess the consequences of proposed/adopted rules, including contributing to legal policy work

Qualifications

  • Cand. Jur. or master's degree in law

  • Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, written and oral

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

The following will count positively:

  • Relevant experience as a lawyer/associate

  • Experience in drafting and negotiating international contracts

  • Experience in protection and licensing of intellectual property rights

  • Negotiation skills and experience

  • Experience in legal areas such as data protection, export control and sanctions
