Do you want to help develop the next generation of rocket engines?

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Development Engineer in electronics for our high-tech development team at Nammo Raufoss. With us, you get a unique opportunity to work with advanced technology in the defense industry - with a special focus on electronics development for rocket engines and associated control systems.

As a central part of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute from idea and concept development to fully tested and qualified solution in demanding environments.

Your tasks will include:

  • Design and development of safety-critical systems incl. sensors and control systems related to rocket engines. Design and development of safety-critical systems including sensors and control systems related to rocket engines and propulsion systems

  • Circuit design and layout of high-performance PCBs with requirements for robustness, EMC and thermal management

  • Integration and test of electronics in rocket and system solutions

  • EMC and ESD testing

  • Prototyping, troubleshooting and improvement of existing and new systems

  • Preparation of technical documentation and support for certification and qualification

  • Collaboration with mechanical, systems, analysis and design engineers in a dedicated development team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics development

  • Experience in circuit design and PCB layout (Altium, KiCad, or equivalent), preferably in one or more of the areas:

    • Power supply design

    • Mixed Signal circuits

    • Analog sensors and instrumentation

    • EMC/ESD testing

    • FPGA

  • Experience with electronics for demanding or regulated environments is an advantage (f.e.g. aerospace, defense, aviation, oil & gas)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics, cybernetics, mechatronics or similar

  • Good oral and written skills in Norwegian and English
