The design department at Nammo Raufoss consists of 22 employees who provide design services for development and production projects within the Ammunition business area. The department is growing, and we are now looking for a committed and structured leader for a team of design engineers.

The team works with the development of tools, machines and production support, and works closely with the process environments to ensure efficient and robust solutions in production. The solutions are part of advanced and compact high-tech systems, where mechanics, electronics and software must work seamlessly together, and where precision and quality are crucial.

As Team Manager, you will have personnel responsibility for the team, contribute to continuous improvement work and support the design and engineering work in projects from idea to finished solution. The position reports to the Design & Engineering Manager Ammunition and offers good opportunities for both professional and personal development in a strong and inclusive professional environment.


Duties
:

  • Personal responsibility, including safeguarding of HSE.

  • Coordinate activities and ensure effective distribution of tasks in the team.

  • Further develop work methodology and ensure close collaboration across design teams, focusing on goal achievement and knowledge sharing.

  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical solutions on time.

  • Drive and follow up on continuous improvement processes.

  • Assist with onboarding and ensure that the group has the right competence.

  • Participate in and contribute to recruitment processes.

We are looking for you who have:

  • Engineering degree or bachelor's degree in machinery, manufacturing or equivalent.

  • Other relevant education and/or solid experience can compensate.

  • Experience with machines, tools and production processes.

  • Ability to lead and involve teams in improvement work, and ensure lasting improvements.

  • Strength-focused leadership and a clear team player.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey clear expectations and create common understanding.

  • A structured and systematic way of working, with good implementation skills.
