Who are we?

Nammo is a cornerstone company in the industrial park at Raufoss with approx. 1300 employees. We are an international group that develops and manufactures the technological equipment of the future for the defense industry and the aerospace sector. The test center conducts various development, production, qualification and delivery tests on Nammo's products. Furthermore, we carry out control tests of ammunition and rocket engines that have been stored at customers and we take on some test assignments for external customers.

The test center is located at Bradalsmyra outside Raufoss and consists of 45 highly competent employees. Organizationally, the center is divided into the following units: management / administration, shooting range group, propulsion system group, environmental test group and measurement technology group.

We are now looking for a group leader for measurement technology, who will have personnel responsibility for seven specialists in measurement technology disciplines. The group contributes to test activities with expertise in high-speed video and motion analysis, photography, radar, pressure and velocity measurements, automation, programming, calibration and more.

As group leader, you will be responsible for resource management and professional leadership of the group, and be part of the management team at the test center. The role requires an operational leadership style, with the expectation of active participation in metrological tasks, in addition to management responsibilities. You will also participate in planning meetings and projects to ensure professional quality, as well as be responsible for financial management, investments and project follow-up within the group.

The position involves approximately 30% management tasks, and 70% professional work, depending on your expertise. Current work tasks include:

  • Continuous improvement work, with a focus on reducing measurement uncertainty

  • Development of procedures and handling of deviations

  • Collaboration with projects and product office

  • Participation in risk assessments

  • Data processing and reporting of measurement results

  • Maintenance and follow-up of advanced measurement equipment

  • Electronics work in the laboratory, as well as some programming (for example LabVIEW)

  • Field work in photo, radar and pressure measurements

Qualifications

  • High school or vocational school education in electronics, engineering or equivalent

  • Long and relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education

  • Solid understanding of metrological principles and measurement uncertainty

  • Good competence in electronics and signal processing

  • Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation of measurement data

  • Knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO 10012, ISO 17025, AS9100 and AQAP 2110 is desirable

  • Experience from management is an advantage
