Who are we?
Nammo is a cornerstone company in the industrial park at Raufoss with 1300 employees. We are an international group that develops and manufactures the technological equipment of the future for the defense industry. This is an important social mission that ensures that the soldiers who do an important job have access to the right equipment.
The test manager will be part of the test center at Bradalsmyra, which consists of approximately 45 skilled employees. These perform and document a number of tests within environmental simulation, ammunition and propulsion systems/rocket engines.
As a test manager, you will be part of the test center's group for shooting ranges, and you will work with project and program managers to perform tests according to requirements. You will be responsible for organizing all testing within ammunition, as well as operation and maintenance of the test building. You will use your practical skills to carry out tests and there will be varied days as it will be prepared for many different test programs.
Responsibilities and tasks:
Daily allocation of resources for the implementation of test assignments that are in accordance with the requisition and safety instructions that apply at all times
Practical and daily follow-up of operators, such as. planning of work tasks and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure
Continuous follow-up of HSE activities and quality deviations
Be an active contributor to the test center's improvement work (LEAN)
Operate and prepare the test facilities for ammunition testing
Conduct risk assessments, pre and post test meetings
Ensure that method descriptions and routines are followed up and revised
Participate in the planning and implementation of the shooting range group's customer visits and demonstrations
Other work that the shooting range group performs
Qualifications:
Relevant higher education ex. engineering college, weapons technology or stockbroker
Long relevant experience can compensate for lack of education
Leader / project manager experience and experience from improvement work
It is desirable with a background from the Armed Forces and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) to be able to handle dead ends
Command Norwegian and English, oral and written
Good computer skills
