The test center conducts various tests in phases from development to delivery tests on Nammo's products, as well as for some external customers. We carry out tests on ammunition, rocket engines and aerospace products etc.

The test center is located at Bradalsmyra outside Raufoss, and consists of approx. 50 employees with high expertise. The test center is divided into the following units: management/administration, firing range group, propulsion system group, environmental test group and measurement technology group.

We are looking for a test engineer who will be part of the measurement technology group. The group contributes to test activities with expertise in data capture, advanced image processing, automation, programming, calibration and much more. The position will focus on software and measurement systems, but you will also contribute with general measurement engineering, calibration, system building, user support and more.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Programming (LabVIEW)

  • Data processing and reporting of measurement results

  • Continuous improvement work, with a focus on reducing measurement uncertainty

  • Maintenance and follow-up of advanced measurement equipment

  • Building up measurement systems

  • Electronics work in the laboratory, including calibration

  • Some field work in metrology when needed

  • Collaboration with projects and product office

  • Documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or equivalent in electronics. Long and relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

  • Interest and experience with programming (LabVIEW).

  • Solid competence in electronics and signal processing

  • Good understanding of measurement principles and measurement uncertainty

  • Good language skills in Norwegian and English
