The design department consists of over 60 employees divided into four groups; Production Support, Ammunition Products, Product Development and Tooling Development. The groups work closely together and deliver services to development and production projects throughout Nammo Raufoss. We now need to strengthen the design department and are therefore looking for more design engineers. The position will provide good opportunities for professional development and collaboration across the organization. The job provides the opportunity for extensive cooperation with internal and external customers, as well as technical contact with national and international suppliers.

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Product design of rocket, aerospace and/or ammunition products
  • Tooling design associated with the products
  • Configuration management
  • Development of new and further development of existing products
  • Tolerance calculations using analysis tools
  • Strength calculations in NX-Design Simulation
  • Contribute to the department's continuous improvement processes and departmental activities

The above tasks are mainly performed in collaboration with project teams to achieve a robust and sustainable design. The CAD system Siemens NX is used and training is adapted as needed.

Desired qualifications:

  • Master/siv.ing, bachelor/engineer or vocational school engineer in machine/design. Other technical education/experience may also be relevant.
  • Work experience from CAD is positively emphasized
  • Understanding of the use of GPS (Geometrical Product Specifications) is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of English
