Nammo is an international group that manufactures, develops, and supplies equipment for civilian and military customers. One of the reasons we do this is because our social mission is to ensure that soldiers performing important work have access to the right equipment. Nammo Raufoss, where you will be based, is a cornerstone company in the Raufoss industrial park with over 1,700 employees.

Nammo continues to grow and is now looking to strengthen the team working on strategic projects, as well as the sales and marketing of Nammo’s products nationally and internationally. As Director of Strategic Projects – International Sales and Marketing at Nammo, you will lead a small team responsible for positioning Nammo in the market to ensure future sales of Nammo’s products to various customers, including other companies (B2B) and national government agencies. As a director, you must also be able to lead projects yourself, in addition to monitoring your employees’ projects and activities.

In this position, you will experience a wide variety of tasks and interactions with representatives from government agencies and other defense industry players, as well as users of Nammo’s products both nationally and internationally. In the role of director, it is important to have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with the various stakeholders and to navigate intercultural relationships. The position demands a high degree of independence and responsibility, but it also offers the employee considerable flexibility to manage and influence their own daily work.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Lead a small team of project managers working on market-oriented projects at Nammo

  • Responsibility for positioning Nammo and its products in the market with regard to our partners and customers

  • Influencing processes and projects that can help strengthen Nammo’s market position.

  • Lead, support, or monitor internal processes in accordance with the Nammo Management System and Nammo Project Management

  • Build and maintain trust between Nammo and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline, economics, or from the Norwegian Armed Forces. Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.

  • Must be fluent in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written; a third language is also an advantage.

  • Experience with or a good understanding of military capabilities is an advantage.

The position requires that the candidate be eligible for security clearance by national security authorities and be able to provide a valid police clearance certificate. The position involves extensive travel.
