We are now seeking VP Operations to continue this journey, developing the structures, ways of working, and capabilities that drive performance, quality, and scalability across Aerospace Propulsion and the full value chain.

About the role / Key responsibilities

As VP Operations, you will lead and collaborate to optimize and integrate operations across the entire value chain. Working closely with leaders across functions and sites, you will ensure that operational strategies are fully aligned with our business objectives and growth ambitions. This responsibility is built on a shared plan, process, and commitment with functional leaders across the entire value chain. 

Your mission is to foster a culture of operational excellence, balancing structure with agility, efficiency with innovation, and performance with people. With your leadership, we will shape the operational foundation that drives our future success. The EVP AP will provide directions and ensure that VP Operations has the decision-making authority needed to drive the continuous development of AP.

Main tasks

  • Hold business unit responsibility for operational excellence, including leadership practices, performance management, improvement priorities, and capability development, and turn the Nammo OpX directive into common ways of working across AP.

  • Develop and implement ONE PLAN as a comprehensive and sustainable operational management system for AP.

  • Establish and follow up performance management and continuous improvement across AP, including KPIs, leading indicators, and prioritized improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment of site performance with business goals across sites and functions.

  • Coordinate and integrate operational digital needs across AP, in close collaboration with users, functional experts, and the AP OpX team, and translate these needs into coherent, value-creating digital solutions together with the IT Business Partner and central IT.

  • Provide regular, fact-based updates on operational performance to EVP AP and the AP senior leadership team.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or related fields.

  • Master’s degree (Preferred): An MBA or similar advanced degree is advantageous.

  • Operations management: Solid and relevant experience from operations and senior leadership roles, including multi-site/international management experience.

  • Ability to navigate cross-functional collaborations and competing priorities.

  • Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, HSEQ or similar initiatives, as well as leadership competency development in general.

  • Proven Leadership Skills: Strong ability to inspire and develop teams.

  • Experience managing large operational budgets and analyzing financial statements.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Proficient in analyzing KPIs and operational metrics.

  • Proficiency in English and Norwegian.
