At the rocket engine factory at Nammo Raufoss, more than 300 dedicated employees work every day to develop and produce world-class rocket engines. We are in a time where production meets ever-higher demands for efficiency, quality and delivery reliability, where it is crucial to work systematically with continuous improvement.

Lean principles have proven to be a powerful tool to reduce waste, optimize flow in processes and create more value for both customers and employees. To ensure that these principles are implemented holistically and sustainably in the organization, there is a need for a dedicated lean coordinator. The role acts as a link between management and production, and contributes to structured improvement work, skills development and a culture of Lean and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Technical college or engineering. Prior learning can replace formal qualifications for the right candidate.

  • Good insight into Lean and continuous improvement work

  • Good knowledge of industrial production

  • Good computer skills

  • Good English skills, oral and written

  • You are analytical and have the ability to get a good overview

  • You are dedicated, accurate and considerate

  • You are a good team player, and work well both independently and in collaboration with others

  • You enjoy acquiring new knowledge and are happy to share with others

  • You communicate well

  • You have the ability to build good relationships

Main tasks:

  • Drive the structure, progress and culture of Lean and continuous improvement

  • Drive and support the work of continuous improvement based on Lean principles

  • Assist and follow up tools such as 5S, standardized work, board meetings, value stream mapping, PDCA and 6Sigma

  • Encourage employees to participate in improvement work and support improvement projects

  • Conduct training and workshops in Lean and continuous improvement
