Nammo is an international industrial company that develops and supplies world-class, high-tech defense and aerospace products. With growing demand for our products and services, we are now expanding our team at Nammo Raufoss and seeking dedicated systems engineers with a broad technical background and experience.

We need more experienced engineers for our development projects and production programs in the field of rocket engines. As a systems engineer on these projects, you will have technical responsibility for ensuring that our products meet our customers’ requirements and needs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with national and international companies and institutions, as well as suppliers and customers. With us, you will contribute to the development of advanced solutions that form the foundation for the defense and aerospace technology of the future. We are currently seeking additional systems engineers with a background in electronics for projects related to, among other things, EISD (Electronic Ignition Safety Device) and TVC (Thrust Vector Control) systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical responsibility for all or part of one or more development projects and/or production programs, with a primary focus on the electronic systems in our products

  • Management and coordination of technical project work

  • Communication with customers and partners

  • Preparation of technical documentation

  • Systematic work on defining product requirements and breaking them down, including deriving specific requirements related to electronics from customer and system requirements

  • Developing system architecture based on customer specifications and other standards

  • Understanding and defining electrical interfaces and digital communication protocols in complex systems

  • Participate in test planning and specifying the necessary scope of testing

  • Evaluate, justify, and approve choices and changes to the product and documentation

Desired qualifications:

  • Relevant education (BSc, MSc, PhD) in electronics and systems engineering

  • You ideally have knowledge of one or more other relevant fields, such as mechanical engineering, mechanics, materials science, chemistry, pyrotechnics, aerospace, manufacturing, product development, physics, or similar

  • At least three years of work experience in a relevant field

  • Possess or be able to quickly acquire a solid understanding of our products (training will be provided)

  • Ability to see the big picture while also having an eye for important details and an understanding of interrelationships and interfaces

  • Ability to familiarize yourself with and delve into standards and customer requirements

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong written and verbal skills in Norwegian and English
