With us, you’ll take on a key technical role where you’ll help ensure that products are developed, classified, and transported safely and securely in a rapidly growing industry.
As a HESS Advisor, you’ll be a key technical resource in the transport of dangerous goods and the classification of explosives. You’ll work closely with development, testing, production, and logistics, and serve as a key advisor on projects that demand high standards of quality, safety, and precision.
This is a role where you’ll have a significant impact in your field and the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in areas such as ADR, IATA, and STANAG. You don’t need to know everything from day one—we’ll provide the necessary training and professional development.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as our subject matter expert in the transport of dangerous goods in accordance with ADR and IATA regulations.
Contribute to the classification of explosives and products.
Participate in the planning and follow-up of testing activities related to classification and IM requirements.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation and procedures.
Monitor regulatory requirements, standards, and internal requirements.
Conduct technical assessments and provide support to projects and the organization.
Contribute to training and professional development within the field.
Participate in audits, inspections, and interactions with regulatory authorities and external partners.
We are looking for someone who has:
A college degree in HSE, logistics, chemistry, engineering, safety, or a related field.
Relevant experience may compensate for a lack of formal education.
Interest in or experience with the transport of dangerous goods, explosives, or working with regulations.
Knowledge of ADR, IATA, STANAG, classification, or similar is a plus, but not a requirement.
Experience in industry, logistics, the defense sector, or similar fields is a plus.
Strong Norwegian and English skills, both verbal and written.
We believe you’ll thrive with us if you are:
Organized and analytical, and enjoy working systematically on complex problems.
Proactive and solution-oriented when facing new challenges.
Independent and comfortable taking on professional responsibility.
A good team player who communicates effectively with various professional groups.
Curious and motivated to build expertise within a specialized field.
