You are part of the work environment organization in Sweden and belong to a group of work environment engineers located throughout the country. To a large extent, you work independently in your geographical area to support the department's projects, but central work together with other work environment engineers is also part of your everyday life.
The position as Work Environment Engineer
Your days as a health and safety engineer will be characterized by great variety and breadth of tasks. Your main task is to work closely with our operations and our projects, managers and employees to improve, support and follow up the work environment work.
You will support the operational work environment work in our projects around the department by making site visits but also work preventively by training and informing the department's employees in the work environment to ensure a high level of competence in health and safety. You will also participate extensively in the development of our systematic work environment work, carry out controls and work environment audits to anchor and ensure that we comply with our working methods, laws and guidelines.
Our goal is to have zero accidents in our workplaces. Together with the relevant parties, you are responsible for investigating any serious incidents at our workplaces.
You support NCC's South East department and report to Infrastructure's Health and Safety Manager, who is located in Stockholm. We provide opportunities to collaborate on health and safety issues within the group and with other business areas.
In addition to working in the South East geography, you will also work on one of the development projects that NCC runs centrally. This gives you a chance to develop your knowledge in many areas and involves close cooperation with other work environment engineers in the company.
Division Civil South East
The department operates in land and construction from design and construction to production and maintenance in infrastructure, civil engineering and service and covers the geography Skaraborg / Småland / / Blekinge / Östergötland and Nybergs Entreprenad on Gotland.
Your profile as a Work Environment Engineer
We are looking for you who have a university degree in work environment or equivalent field, as well as several years of experience in qualified work environment work. You have a strong commitment to work environment issues, good knowledge of legal text and application. The position requires you to be a good communicator with the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English. Previous experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
As a person, we see that you thrive on working closely with the business in a relationship-building and coaching role. As you are used to independently managing and prioritizing your work and dealing with a wide variety of issues, you see it as a fun challenge to be part of our projects and provide advice that is practically useful.

Further information
The position is a permanent position. Your location will be at one of our larger offices in Skövde, Jönköping, Linköping, Norrköping, Visby, Kalmar, Karlshamn and Växjö. A B-driving license is a requirement as travel occurs in the service. Overnight stays at other locations occur regularly.
