The position of Project Engineer specializing in production planning
As a Project Engineer, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the project is carried out efficiently according to plan by drawing up and reviewing schedules and ensuring the link to costing. You work closely with the site manager who owns their schedules and your task is to establish, follow up outcomes against forecast, adjust and maintain schedules in Power Project. You report the schedule weekly to the project management team.
As a Planning Specialist, you have many contacts and interact with production as well as design, contracts and the environment, have working meetings and participate in sub-project meetings. By participating in various networks regarding time planning, you spread your knowledge to your colleagues in the various projects.
You report to Robert, who is the production manager for our construction side.
About the Civil North Department
The Civil North division has approximately 600 employees and operates in the field of civil engineering with everything from design and construction to production. We are divided into several production groups with operations in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland and Västernorrland and Värmland.
Your profile as a Project Engineer, specializing in production planning
You have a technical university education and experience from plant or construction production and an interest in planning issues and calculation work. You have a background as a planning specialist, project/contract engineer, site manager or project manager. If you come from the client side, you probably work as a Project Manager.
You are used to working with schedule programs, for example in Power Project, WSP or equivalent and can present information in a simple and educational way.
You understand the links between good planning, progress and finances. You see the big picture in planning management and can then break it down to the detail level and are not afraid to control and make demands when required.
As a person, you are easy to build relationships and are clear in your communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
You speak and write in both Swedish and English.
Additional information
The service is a permanent position with placement preferably at our office in Kiruna or Luleå. Travel occurs. You have a B-driving license. For this position, we conduct background checks in accordance with NCC's safety culture.
