We need to strengthen our operations with more raw materials officers who, through their expertise, will contribute to securing and developing our environmental permits and facilities where we produce, handle and deliver materials from quarrying and recycling.

The position of Raw Materials Officer/Environmental Permit Specialist in Norrbotten and Västerbotten

As a Raw Materials Officer/Environmental Permit Specialist, you will have a key role in the assignment to lead environmental permit processes for NCC's quarrying operations, which also include recycling facilities and landfills. You will also support the daily production at the facilities in matters relating to permits and supervision in the environmental field. Other tasks in the role are inventorying new locations for new facilities, development and expansion of existing facilities, support in contractual issues regarding rights of use, control programs, measurements, evaluations and follow-ups.

To support you, you have many qualified and experienced colleagues in the raw materials group that you will be part of. In this role, you report to the Raw Materials Manager for Stone Materials Sweden.

Your profile as Raw Materials Administrator/Environmental Permit Specialist

You have at least 3 years of qualified work experience in the field and a scientific/technical university degree in, for example, environmental science, earth science, geology, or law with an environmental focus or the equivalent through work experience. Your written and oral communication in Swedish is very good. It is an advantage if you have expertise in hydrogeology, and/or waste and landfills, and have worked with environmental impact assessments and/or permit reviews and supervision under the Environmental Code.

You are a committed and driven person who plans and works towards set goals and can drive your processes forward. You see challenges as a natural part of everyday life, and you have the ability to understand and solve these within the set time. You are thorough, persistent and have a holistic approach. You are communicative and have the ability to build good relationships, as well as the willingness and ability to work and succeed both independently and in groups.

The service is a permanent position, probationary employment may be applied. The location is primarily Umeå, but it may also be relevant with a placement at one of our other offices in, for example, Luleå, Skellefteå or Örnsköldsvik The service includes travel where overnight stays occur, B-driving license and access to a car is a requirement.
