Strengthen our production engineering team
Are you an experienced maintenance or automation engineer who is inspired by innovation and interested in working with automation solutions for our production facility in Karlskrona? Then this could be the job for you! In this role, you will be a resource within Production Technology Maintenance and support our production department within automation and electrical topics.
As a Maintenance Engineer at NKT, you will work and be well versed in maintenance and automation. In Karlskrona, we have a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for the production of high voltage and extra high voltage cables, the world's largest HVDC test lab and Victoria, our cable laying vessel.
Help develop NKT's automation systems
We work to keep our production and capacity at the forefront of technology and have developed global automation systems that we use for our cable management and production. In this role, you will support and participate in troubleshooting automation and electrical issues and you will also be a key support function to our production team.
Your primary tasks will include:
* Troubleshooting automation circuits & electrical circuits.
* Continuous improvements of our machine automation optimized for production
* Supporting our industrial electricians regarding troubleshooting of our automation systems.
* PLC programming and electrical design for machines and production equipment.

To succeed in this role, you need to be thorough and appreciate taking responsibility for your own work. To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge and expertise in both automation and electrical design as well as in machinery directives and other standards. You will have an important role in supporting the work in all automation aspects of our Production Technology Maintenance department.
To succeed in the role, you should have the following experience:
* Experience in automation technology, programming and projects from the manufacturing industry
* Knowledge of Eplan, ABB, Siemens and other automation programs
* Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing
