Automation engineer focusing on OT in modern manufacturing industry

Develop OT & Automation in an advanced production environment in Karlskrona

For our Power Systems & Operational Technology CoE department, we are now looking for an employee who, in a project-based activity, optimizes and further develops industrial automation and system integration for our high-tech and unique production of high-voltage cables.

We are committed to having an updated production with the latest technology and develop innovative automation systems for our cable production. Within the Power Systems & Operational Technology CoE we work on developing OT, industrial automation and electrical power systems. Before automation and OT solutions are implemented in production, we have a lab environment where our employees can test and quality assure their solutions.

Your tasks may consist of:

  • Responsibility for or participation in projects and sub-projects.
  • Collaboration with automation engineers, IT/OT specialists, process engineers and system suppliers.
  • Work with compliance with the NIS directives and with cybersecurity within industrial networks and systems.
  • Hold or participate in testing and updates of systems and industrial networks.
  • Development, configuration and ownership/management of industrial systems.

As an automation engineer with a focus on OT, you will be an important part of a dedicated team at Power Systems & Operational Technology CoE, consisting of about 10 employees with high technical competence, where knowledge sharing, collaboration and support are a natural part of everyday life. Emergency and daily maintenance is handled by the maintenance department, with whom we collaborate. To work well in the role, you need to be on site in Karlskrona.

Experience in industrial automation and system integration and a collaborative personality

We are looking for you who want to work in project form and you appreciate varied tasks. To thrive and do a good job in this work requires commitment and motivation. You work in a systematic way, take responsibility in your work and cooperate well with your colleagues.

You also have:

  • Technical education from university, college, YH with a focus on automation, or equivalent skills acquired in another way.
  • Several years of experience in industrial automation (PLC/HMI/SCADA)
  • Good experience of at least one PLC platform
  • Experience from relevant manufacturing/process industry, working in industrial networks.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
  • Advantageous is: Experience of working with compliance with the NIS directives and with good cybersecurity in industrial networks and systems.
  • Knowledge of standards and guidelines in the field such as ISA / IEC 62443
  • Relevant education in OT / IT security or equivalent experience.
  • Good experience with the Siemens TIA platform
