Job description:Develop automation solutions in an advanced production environment in KarlskronaFor our Automation Engineering department, we are now seeking an automation engineer who, in a project-based role, will develop automation solutions for our high-tech and unique production of high-voltage cables. In Automation Engineering, in addition to electrical and automation solutions, we also work with process development, SCADA applications, integration with higher-level systems, and sub-project management. Before automation solutions are implemented in production, we have a lab facility where our employees can test and quality-assure their solutions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing small and large-scale automation solutions on a project basis, including the selection of hardware and software
- PLC programming and electrical design for machines and production equipment
- Reviewing and validating automation and electrical design solutions for both new machines and retrofits of existing machines
- Participating in cost estimates and bid preparation for automation projects
- Managing subprojects
- Provide line support for production
As an automation engineer, you will be an important part of the Automation Engineering team, consisting of approximately 15 employees, most of whom are experienced engineers with diverse skills and experience in electrical design and automation. - A technical degree from a university, college, or vocational school, or experience in PLC programming
- A college degree is a plus
- Several years of experience in PLC programming in an industrial setting
- Strong written and spoken skills in Swedish and English
