A role with broad responsibilitiesAs a Calculation Engineer, you’ll be part of a team of other calculation engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers who work together to implement improvements and investments at our high-tech production facility in Karlskrona. The job offers a stimulating and varied workday where you follow the process from concept to production-ready equipment. In this role, you’ll participate in a variety of projects, each involving varying degrees of calculation work. You will also work closely with the design engineers to verify mechanical strength in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines. The calculation engineer plays a key role, providing expert knowledge and support to project managers, design engineers, and production technicians. Your responsibilities include:
- Structural strength calculations
- Finite element method simulations
- Cable routing simulations
- Planning and streamlining calculation assignments
- Order management

In addition to the above, we would like you to have the following experience:
- A master’s degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering with a focus on some form of structural analysis is a prerequisite for this role.
- Knowledge and prior experience in mechanical design and calculation work in accordance with Eurocode.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required.
Basic knowledge of machine safety, AFS, and CE marking is a plus. Previous experience in cable manufacturing and cable handling is also considered an advantage. In addition, knowledge of WindChill and SolidWorks is a plus.
