Developing the future of environmental work in an expanding green industry!
Do you want to play an important role in one of Europe's most significant industrial projects and at the same time contribute to the green transition? In the role of Environmental Specialist at NKT, you are responsible for maintaining good environmental performance in our power cable production. Here you will work closely with both production and project development, in an environment where sustainability, long-term thinking and technical innovation go hand in hand.
Create structure, commitment and safe environmental performance
As an Environmental Specialist, you will play an important role in developing and quality-assuring NKT's environmental work in a rapidly growing industrial business. You will work both strategically and operationally with risk assessments, compliance, project support and advice to ensure that our processes meet high environmental standards.
You will also be responsible for:
- Performing environmental risk analysis and coordinating risk management actions.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental laws, permits and internal requirements.
- Preparing documentation and managing notifications to regulatory authorities.
- Identify environmental requirements and review environmental plans for production and procurement.
- Participate in environmental rounds, meetings and coordination of internal environmental work.
The role is located on-site in Karlskrona and is part of the Health, Safety & Environment department. You report to the Environmental Manager.

Your profile:
- Post-secondary education in environment/nature/technology or equivalent
- Experience of environmental work in industrial production or project activities.
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, permit processes and ISO 14001.
