Job Description:Would you like to work in a high-tech testing environment where you lead the testing of tomorrow’s high-voltage cable systems while contributing to the green transition? Then this could be the next step for you!
At NKT, you’ll have the opportunity to work in one of Sweden’s most advanced high-voltage laboratories. In the role of Test Manager, you’ll be a key player responsible for planning, conducting, and following up on tests for both customer projects and research and development projects. You’ll oversee operations in the test hall and ensure that testing is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards.
Oversee testing in a technically advanced test environmentAs a Test Manager, you will be responsible for conducting electrical tests in our high-voltage laboratory and its associated test halls. You will ensure that testing is performed in accordance with applicable test plans, standards, and safety requirements, while also planning and coordinating the work together with experienced technicians and other internal stakeholders.
You are responsible for your test stations and for ensuring that the test equipment is functioning properly and is correctly calibrated. The role involves close collaboration with planning, projects, and production to create the best possible conditions for safe and successful testing in accordance with established delivery schedules. You will also work continuously to identify opportunities for improvement within the organization and contribute to the development of the laboratory’s equipment and work methods.
Your responsibilities:
- Plan, oversee, and conduct tests in the high-voltage laboratory
- Ensure that tests are performed in accordance with test plans, standards, and safety requirements
- Supervise and coordinate technicians during test setups
- Be responsible for test sites, equipment, and calibration
- Drive improvement initiatives within the testing operations
In this role, you will also be responsible for documenting completed tests in test reports and control cards, as well as ensuring that time logs and technical documentation are kept up to date. You will work closely with project, production, and planning teams to create the right conditions for safe and efficient testing in accordance with delivery schedules. The role also involves focusing on minimizing the impact on the surrounding environment, developing work methods, and identifying opportunities for improvements and investments in the laboratory’s operations. On-call duty is a natural part of the role.

Your qualifications:
- A college degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge
- Experience in technical operations or an industrial environment
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Interest in engineering, quality, and safety
- Strong administrative skills and experience with documentation
- Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English
Experience in testing, laboratory work, electrical engineering, project work, or supervisory roles in an industrial setting is a plus. We would like to see that you have an interest in improvement initiatives and the development of processes and work methods.
