Design and develop advanced installation solutions
As a Installation Engineer, you will support NKT’s Service and Installation business line by designing and developing mechanical solutions for high-voltage cable systems. You’ll work with 2D/3D CAD tools to create technical drawings, perform structural analysis, and support manufacturing and installation processes. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and sustainability of our cable installation operations.
Your tasks will include:
* Design metal accessories and jointing pits in 2D/3D CAD
* Develop installation techniques and perform cable pull-in analysis
* Create manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
* Conduct structural calculations and FEM analysis
* Provide technical support to installation and service teams
* Working with cable system
* Implement of standardization work
* Working in small projects
You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site managers across NKT. The role is based in Karlskrona, Sweden, and includes approximately 50 travel days per year, both domestically and internationally.

You also have:
* A BSc or higher in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or Installation Engineering
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
* Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), PLM/Windchill
* Experience with structural analysis, metal manufacturing, and technical documentation
* Experience with infrastructural system installations
* Experience with different applications and accessories for installation
* Fluency in Swedish and English additional languages are a plus
* Understanding of Cable system design and installation are Meritorious
